Headteacher's Welcome
I am proud to lead a school where high standards, strong values and a deep sense of community come together to create an ambitious and supportive learning environment.
Welcome to Co-op Academy Failsworth, a vibrant and ambitious school at the heart of our community. At our academy, we are committed to ensuring that every young person has the opportunity to succeed, to feel valued, to feel a strong sense of belonging and to thrive both academically and personally.
As Headteacher, I am proud to lead a school where high standards, strong values and a deep sense of community come together to create an ambitious and supportive learning environment.
We believe that for children to thrive, they need to feel a strong sense of belonging. Our ethos puts the Co-op Ways of Being at its core: Show You Care, Be yourself always, Do what matters most and Succeed Together. These Ways of Being underpin everything we do, guiding our decisions and shaping the character of our academy.
Our mission and vision is clear: to provide an excellent quality of education for all our students, where the day in day out experience is outstanding for all, enabling them to achieve excellence in their studies while developing the skills and qualities needed to succeed in life. We have an unrelenting focus on the highest quality teaching and learning possible, meaning that all students, no matter what their skills and abilities, are presented with the right opportunities to allow them to achieve and succeed. We have an incredible team of teachers and support staff at the academy. I am inspired daily by their commitment, skill and dedication, and their tireless work to achieve the very best for the community we serve.
We have the highest expectations for all our students, encouraging them to aim high, work hard, and be proud of who they are. At the same time, we provide a supportive environment where they are cared for, respected, and inspired to discover their full potential. We believe that every young person has the ability to excel, and it is our responsibility to nurture their talents, broaden their horizons, and inspire them to aim high.
We are proud of our role within the local community, valuing strong partnerships with families and our wider community. Together, we can ensure that our young people are well prepared for the future, equipped with the knowledge, skills, and character they need to flourish in life.
